How much do Process Servers charge?
We offer 2 forms of service at Swift Process Servers. The first is our Standard Service, which includes up to 3 visits, with the first visit being made within 48 hours. This is anywhere between £120-180. Our Urgent Service starts at £200 and can rise to £280. Our Urgent Service involves an agent getting on the case within 24 hours of instruction and on request, we can even conclude this within 2 hours of notice. We are one of the few Process Serving Agencies that are proudly on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of a year.
IS THERE A COLLECTION SERVICE AVAILABLE, CAN YOU COLLECT FROM OUR OFFICES?
We certainly can, please note there is an extra charge for any call outs to collect any documentation.
WHAT TIMES WILL THE PROCESS SERVER MAKE THEIR ATTEMPTS?
Our Process Servers will make their calls at whatever time is necessary to catch the respondent, within reason. We operate on a basis where we can attend out of hours.
WHICH AREAS DO YOU COVER?
We are London-based, but cover the entire UK.

ARE MY PAPERS GUARANTEED TO BE SERVED?
Whilst we make every attempt to serve your papers, we cannot always guarantee that they will be served. This can be very difficult if the respondent is choosing to evade us. In any case, we can always provide a Witness Statement or Affidavit outlining our attempts which can be used to support an application for Substituted Service.
HOW MANY VISITS ARE INCLUDED IN YOUR FEES?
Our standard fee includes up to 3 visits to one address. If any other addresses are required to be served, we charge a separate fee per address. If we haven’t been able to serve the papers after the 3 visits have concluded, we can discuss any further options such as Tracing.
WILL I BE PROVIDED WITH AN AFFIDAVIT OF SERVICE?
We certainly can. We will prepare either an affidavit of service, certificate of service, or statement of service. If you have a preference, please inform us beforehand.
WHEN WILL I BE CHARGED FOR YOUR SERVICES?
Payment is usually due on receipt of the invoice we send. This is usually once we have sent you either a Statement of Service or Attempted Statement of Service.
I DON'T KNOW THE SUBJECT'S HOME ADDRESS, BUT I KNOW THEIR PLACE OF WORK. CAN SUCCESSFULL SERVICE TAKE PLACE THERE?
Certainly. We can attempt at any address you have. If you only know their name and previous address, we could try the previous address and if that fails, we may be able to trace them.
